Peter McLoughlin is a Principal and Founder of Boston Property Development, LLC (BPD). Since beginning Boston Property Development in 2001, Mr. McLoughlin has acquired and developed over $300 million of residential and commercial properties and continues to maintain a $100MM portfolio of over 140 rental properties in the Greater Boston area. Peter graduated fourth in his class from Northeastern University, from which he holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting. Peter is a regular speaker at regional real estate seminars and forums, including Marcus & Millichap, Harvard University, and many local real estate investor associations.

Peter began his career in 1996 as a commercial lender at GE Capital where he specialized in asset-based lending. From 1997-1999, he was an analyst at CIBC World Markets (New York) initially in its Mergers and Acquisitions Group, where he focused on financial modeling, valuation, and the acquisitions and sales of small-to-medium-sized companies ($20MM – 1BN). Peter then served as Vice President of Datek Online Holding Corp. from 1999-2000, where he assisted in raising $800 million in private funding and the development and execution of an international expansion strategy.

Mr. McLoughlin is a founding member of and services on the Board of Directors of South Shore Autism Center. Additionally, Mr. McLoughlin has served on the Board of Directors of QCare since 2016, an organization focused on providing quality, affordable after school care programs for families in Quincy, MA.
